Pastor Baskin was born on October 20, 1968. He graduated from Livingston Christian Academy in 1987. Before graduating, he became involved in the family business, Baskin's Department Stores, Inc., founded by his parents, Don and Annita Baskin in 1972. Upon graduating high school, he entered full time into the family business. Although his career kept him extremely busy, he remained very active in most facets of church work from youth ministry, music, teaching Bible studies and many other aspects of church involvement thru the years.

The family business grew and in 2004, the business was sold to allow him to more fully follow the call to full-time ministry. Cary Baskin is an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a focus on church planting and charity work.  In 2008, he, his wife Mary and their four children Brittany, Trey, Elizabeth and Conner, moved to Round Rock, Texas to start a new church. The church launch was very successful and was handed off to another ministry couple after becoming established. The work continues successfully today.
After having started New Life Church in Roundrock, Texas and completing a succession plan to turn the church over to another pastor, he and his family founded Family Life Church of Livingston, Texas with the first service being held on Sunday, April 18, 2010.

Pastor Baskin has completed many modules of Bible college studies through Christian Life College.
He is a certified financial planner. 
He has been involved in many business dealings including serving as President of Baskin’s Department Stores, Inc. leading in general management of the chain, overseeing implementation of POS systems, new store openings, overseeing millions of dollars worth of annual purchases, marketing strategies and many other functions of the business.
He has much experience in commercial and residential real estate owning both C&M Investments, LLC. and C&G Investments, LLC. 
He also founded Vision 4 Growth which is a non-profit, 501c3 entity thru which he contributes funds to be used for the support of spiritual and humanitarian efforts.

While having extensive experience in the business world, his passion for God and God's people and work lead him to moving into full-time ministry. He enjoys ministering to people, being a part of their growth in the Lord and witnessing the power of the preached Word of God changing and blessing their lives.  He also enjoys working with people on practical ways to enhance their personal lives.
